ABOUT

With over 20 years of working and partnering at the elementary, middle school, high school, community college and university levels, I bring a unique perspective on bringing the best practices of higher education and connecting them to primary grade preparation and excellence.

I have worked in admissions, enrollment, and financial aid at the University of Nevada-Reno, CSU Northridge, Ventura Community College, and Otis College of Art & Design. I have also worked in the admissions process at UCLA - the most competitive public research university in the nation, as well as helping families with government and private financial aid in three different university systems.

I started First Grade Financial Aid because families need to know about the clear benefits of starting college/career preparation and financial aid preparation in the early years. And yes, as early as first grade. I believe in serving families to help them learn how college, career, and financial aid excellence is supposed to start in first grade (and even sooner).

My wife and I are raising our daughter who is in high school, and our son who is in elementary school. They are a reflection of what we teach to families about being competitive for college, career, and life.
